Watch the film Funny Face (directed by Stanley Donen, 1957). The film is readily available through Netflix.
Write a one-page reflection on one of the following ideas:
A) What do you think the film is saying about the relationship between the world of Fine Art and the world of Fashion?
B) How many different forms of art are portrayed in the film (photography, sculpture, poetry, etc.)? And what do you think the filmmaker is saying about these art forms (is one more important, or serious than another?)
C) This film was released at a time when feminism was beginning to flourish in this country. From the perspective of this film, what qualities are admirable in a woman?
